This is a drawing by the drummer in my “hardcore or something” duo. I play guitar and sing. We have band practice on Monday. We were supposed to have band practice tonight but I had a panic and decided I really needed to do homework. She told me it was okay and then hooked me up to her bio-feedback anti-anxiety computer game and it slowed my breathing and heartrate down and then it took me into a temple in the Himalayas that looked like it was rendered in 2000 on Maya. Now I’m listening to Fat History Month in the library trying to figure out a reason I’m going to want to write about urban mental mapping for 30 pages over the course of this semester. I’m excited for her to draw the covers of our 7”s and stuff. I want to cover “She Bangs the Drums” by the Stone Roses and that’s cool because John Squire who was/is(!) the guitarist in the Stone Roses did all of the album art for them and he was really sick at it.
